Description
GRWA is a growing land planning, ecological consulting, and landscape architecture firm in business since 1982. GRWA seeks a full-time landscape architect project manager who has experience leading landscape designers working on land planning projects, landscape design projects, and construction observation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carries out and oversees landscape architecture assignments with minimal supervision.
- Collaborates with clients, landscape designers, and GRWA’s ecological team regarding expectations of site plans and concepts.
- Coordinates meetings with clients and engineers to establish site development calculations, changes, notes, and progress.
- Conducts on-site visits and performs field reviews.
- Communicates with clients during all phases of Master Planning, Land Acquisition, Design
- Documentation and Construction Administration.
- Prepares documentation of site planning progress for engineers and clients and documents requested changes.
- Monitors project schedules, manages design and construction budgets, reviews and approves draft invoices for projects, and performs quality control on work products submitted to clients.
- Writes and prepares responses to RFPs and RFQs, including scope and budget.
- Acts as a resource lead for landscape designers when they have a question or need assistance.
- Participates in weekly project manager meetings to prioritize projects and schedule work.
- Consistently manages projects, tasks, schedules, and deliverables for the client and design team.
- Regularly delivers quality work that meets deadlines and also communicates changes in scope or schedule.
- Supervises and manages the work of subcontractors and staff.
- Attends public hearings to assist in project approval process.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in landscape architecture or related field.
- Professional Landscape Architect Licensure (PLA).
- Minimum of seven to ten (7-10) years of experience, preferably in a leadership position in landscape architecture.
- Proficiency in site design, landscape design, and rendering.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the competence to present design concepts and drawings to clients.
- Comfortable and competent with public presentations.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate project risks.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD LT, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign, SketchUp, Lumion, Smartsheets, Microsoft 365, and architecture invoicing software.
- Track record of successfully managing multiple projects at once, adjusting to changing priorities and deadlines, and delivering projects on time and within budget.
