The Role: Litigation Associate Attorney

We are seeking a talented Insurance Defense Litigation Associate (2–4 years of experience) to join our downtown Chicago office.

In this role, you will take ownership of your cases while building litigation expertise across a wide range of matters.

What You’ll Do

Manage cases independently from inception through resolution
Conduct and defend depositions
Attend court appearances, mediations, and settlement conferences
Draft pleadings, motions, and legal briefs
Handle discovery and case strategy development
Communicate effectively with clients through regular reporting
Perform legal research and analysis
Stay organized and meet deadlines while balancing multiple priorities

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

2–4 years of insurance defense litigation experience
JD from an accredited law school
Admission to the Illinois Bar
Strong writing, research, and communication skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team

Bonus Points For:

Experience in professional negligence, medical malpractice, or construction litigation
Admission in Michigan, Indiana, or Wisconsin
