Job Summary:
As the Digital Behavioral Analyst, you will be the first dedicated role focused on measuring, analyzing, and accelerating adoption of the Cat AI Assistant across internal users and dealers. You will define behavioral success metrics, build trusted adoption reporting, and generate insights that guide product decisions, enablement efforts, and governance.
This role is highly analytical and insight-driven, operating as an individual contributor lead who establishes adoption measurement standards and scalable analytics foundations.
What You Will Do:
Behavioral Analytics & Adoption Measurement
- Define adoption and behavioral success frameworks, including leading and lagging indicators and measurement cadence.
- Analyze usage patterns, engagement signals, and behavioral trends to identify drivers of adoption and areas of friction.
- Integrate qualitative feedback (surveys, interviews) with quantitative metrics to provide actionable insights.
Dashboards, Reporting & Data Modeling
- Design and build adoption dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
- Partner with data and engineering teams to model adoption datasets in Snowflake or comparable data platforms.
- Create mock-up dashboards (e.g., Figma) to align stakeholders on metric intent and visualization approach.
- Document data sources, joins, calculations, and metric definitions to ensure reporting consistency and trust.
Data Governance & Reporting Integrity
- Establish governance for adoption reporting, including metric definitions, refresh cadence, ownership, and data quality checks.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and auditable visibility of adoption metrics for internal teams and dealer audiences.
- Create repeatable documentation and standards to support scalable reporting.
Stakeholder Partnership & Research
- Partner closely with Product, DACS, Dealers, Customer Support, and Industry Partners to align on adoption insights and priorities.
- Research industry trends and best practices in digital and AI adoption measurement and incorporate learnings into internal approaches.
- Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Employees are also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.

Business Data Analysis: Knowledge of business data analysis; ability to collect, identify, analyze and interpret business data using various kinds of techniques to meet business needs and requirements.
Business Assessment: Knowledge of the activities, tasks, practices and deliverables for assessing and documenting business opportunities; ability to assess the benefits, risks, and success factors of potential applications.
Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
Product Design and Development: Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production.
Considerations For Top Candidates:
- Extensive experience analyzing user behavior, engagement, or digital adoption data.
- Ability to define KPIs and translate behavioral signals into business and product insights.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools.
- Experience working with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms.
- Strong understanding of metric design, data validation, and reporting best practices.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Experience producing data dictionaries, metric definitions, dashboards, and analytical documentation.
- Comfortable operating as a first-of-role individual contributor.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with product, analytics, and customer-facing teams.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled digital products is a plus.
Considerations For Top Candidates:
- Typically, 7+ years or more of professional experience.
- Experience around software engineering, analytics, artificial Intelligence.
- Extensive experience with managing multiple projects and workstreams.
- Proven ability to develop innovative products, streamline complex processes, and manage strategic roadmaps to drive project success.

Summary Pay Range:
$128,470.00 - $192,710.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
