ICC Remote Video Building/Electrical Inspector

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Building/Electrical Inspector to join our team of professionals. This position offers great opportunity for dynamic, motivated self-starters to work on a variety of work assignments. You’ll be a member of our highly respected team of professionals with a full complement of resources to support you and exciting projects to keep you challenged.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform inspections during various stages of construction
Read and examine plans and specifications when required
Report violations and maintain files/records
Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Extensive knowledge of building codes and current construction procedures/technology
Interpretation of codes and ability to provide code compliant solutions
Must possess the ability to positively interact with the other staff members, the general public, contractors, governmental entities, and other clientele
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good time management, organization, and attention to detail skills
Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and a considerable amount of independent judgment
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Position requires 1 certification or pair of certifications/registrations from below list
ICC Building Inspector certification OR
ICC Commercial Building Inspector and Commercial Mechanical Inspector certification OR
ICC Commercial Combination Inspector certification OR
ICC Building Plan Examiner and Mechanical Plan Examiner certifications OR
ICC Combination Plan Examiner certification OR
WI Architect Registration OR
WI Engineer Registration
AND
Position also requires 1 certification from the below list
ICC Commercial Electrical Inspector certification OR
ICC Electrical Inspector certification OR
IAEI Master Electrical Inspector certification OR
NFPA Master Electrical Inspector certification
*Candidates must be willing to apply for and obtain WI state certifications prior to employment. Company can aid in this process*
Other WI state inspector certifications may be accepted in place of these certifications/registrations such as WI UDC or WI Commercial Building or Electrical Certifications
Additional State of WI certification(s) are a plus
Experience in municipal code inspections required
