- Employment Type: Full Time
- Travel: Approximately 25%
- Compensation: Base Salary $150,000 - $220,000; + Additional Discretionary Bonus.

Role Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager (Mechanical) to lead advanced engineering oversight, design reviews, and technical consulting for mission-critical projects nationwide. This is a senior leadership role, requiring 15+ years of mechanical engineering experience with a strong background in airflow & hydronic systems.
You will be a team leader, guiding both internal and external stakeholders through design, construction, and commissioning. This role is highly visible, client-facing, and requires a blend of technical depth, leadership, and consulting expertise.

What You’ll Do
- Act as owner’s rep, providing direction on engineering and technical designs
- Develop RFPs to be bid by multiple Engineers of Record (EORs) across all project stages (SD through construction)
- Engage with A&E partners in project meetings and peer reviews
- Conduct submittal, RFI, and design reviews
- Provide constructability reviews to support seamless project delivery
- Mentor and develop the technical skills of team members
- Support infrastructure upgrade and equipment end of life replacement projects
- Developing hydronic optimization and designs
- Provide Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Flow Network (FN) technical support on specialized projects
Required Qualifications
- B.S./B.E/B.A degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 15+ years in mechanical engineering with a focus on building systems
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Mechanical Engineering
- Strong background in airflow & hydronic system design, operations, and optimization
- Mission-critical facility or data center experience
Preferred Qualifications
- ASHRAE TC9.9 knowledge and participation
- Liquid cooling best practices
- Controls expertise, including:
- Strong controls engineering background
- Ability to provide controls engineering peer reviews
- Familiarity with backend and networking of BMS system architectures (Schneider EBO, ALC)
- Experience with DCIM platforms
- Commissioning experience (both hydronic and airside)
- Understanding of mechanical engineering systems for achieving high efficiency PUE & WUE
